Mr. Malafy practices in the area of commercial litigation. His experience covers a wide spectrum of dispute resolution services including commercial litigation, maritime and admiralty litigation, probate, trust and estate litigation, real estate related litigation, foreclosure matters, landlord/tenant disputes and general commercial disputes. 

In the community, Mr. Malafy is active in, among other things, the Monroe County Volunteer Mediation Program, the Marathon Chamber of Commerce and the Marathon Teen Court Program.  He currently serves as a member of the Fisherman's Hospital's Board of Directors.

Mr. Malafy attended the University of Tampa where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, while receiving a minor in both Political Science and History. While at the University of Tampa Mr. Malafy was a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society (Alpha Phi Sigma), the International Honor Society in Political Science (Pi Gamma Mu), The International Legal Fraternity (Phi Delta Phi), and the National Leadership Honor Society (Omnicron Delta Kappa). Mr. Malafy also received recognition as a member of the National Dean’s List and the Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities and served in the capacity of Judge for the University’s Office of Judicial Affairs.

Mr. Malafy received his Juri Doctorate in 1998 from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad School of Law. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998.
